Extra Curricular Activities


         National Service Scheme (NSS), is an India Government-sponsored Public Service program. It is conducted by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India. It was launched in Gandhiji's Birth Centenary Year 1969.   Motto of  NSS is not me but you. And  the programme aims to inculcate social Welfare in students, and to  Provide service to society without bias

Regular Activities

       NSS volunteer undertake various activities in campus adopted, villages and slumps for community service. Duration of these service is 120 hours. That is 20 hours for orientation of NSS volunteers, 30 hours for campus work and 70 hours for community service. In regular NSS programmes students undertake various activities in the institute campuses, adopted villages, cities and slums during weekends. Adoption of a village or an area is a meaningful programme in NSS.

        The  Green Campus program strives to educate students, staff, faculty, and the local community about the importance of energy conservation and achieve substantial energy savings by implementing projects on the main campus and in the residence halls.
